My first posting.

Hi there everyone. Well I have been reading a lot of your blogs and have decided to get started. The New Year look bright and I am ready to take on new friends, and catch with old friends from aol. Most of you have managed to get to grips with this new system and hopefully I will be able to manage it to. You will all have to bear with me as at the present time I have no idea what I am doing, but reading your blogs you have all been there and you are all manageing beautifully.

I will start by telling you a bit about myself. I am 66 years old just having a birthday in December. I am married to Idris for 46 years, and we have two children. Allison who is 44 years old and Julian who is 32 years old. Allison is married to Keith and they have three daughters. Julian is at the present time married to Lorna and they have 1 daughter hannah who is four years old.

Idrtis and I were born in the Rhondda Valley , we were very young when we met I was 14 years old and Idris was 16 years old. both our father were miners. Idris has one sister and four brothers, and I have one sister.

We married and had Allison two years later and then we moved to Chepstow for Idris to work in the steel works. He worked and studied very hard for his degree and he became an Industrial Chemist in the Llanwern Steel work in Newport.

This job finnished after 16 years and he was made redundent. He was out of work for a while and then he was offered a job on the Severn Bridge as a Toll collecter. He took this job as it is only a five minuet drive from where we live and was in this job for a further 13 years, He is now retired as am I.
